I have a fresh install of Foxit Reader 2.3.3309. The "Check for Updates" function is totally inoperative. It does not show anything as installed or available. I need the JPEG 2000 and JBIG add ons. I successfully installed the updates on a different Vista Home edition machine, but am unable to get ANY functionality from the updated applet on my laptop.

To clear the problem, (I deinstalled ALL Foxit SW from the machine, rebooted then did fresh install of current Foxit reader on Vista SP1 Business Edition machine. Unfortunately the "check for updates" applaet is totaly disabled. I am logged on as Adm account and also used "run as Administrator" no luck.

I manually downloaded the update, but the install updates function is looking for an "fzip" file while Foxit actually only downloads a simple ".zip" file to your machine.

I'd prefer to get the check updates function corrected, but would setle to be able to manually install the required updates.

HOW?? ( PS: I did try disabling BOTH my firewall and my antivirus, but no joy there .

(I hope you can help because I do not want to install Acrobat on my machines but need the functionality.

1. The "check for updates" applaet is totaly disabled
--I personally think this is something related to your visa system. But sorry I currently have no idea how to do with it.

2. When you download the ".zip" file, please unzip it, and copy the files into the folder where Foxit Reader executable program locates.
