Please help watching to see if the 'Edit/Reverse View' is enabled when the wrong displaying happens. Thanks.

I'm going to try with the pdf which have this problem, and your solution (View > Reverse view and not Edit) solve this problem.
So now, it's the question : why sometimes this option (reverse view) is enabled whereas i haven't never enabled ?

Hello,

I too am having the Reverse Order problem and I do not see anywhere to change the "View". I am using the Free Version download of FoxIt Reader Version 2.3 Build 2825. This is the first time I've had this problem since updating, but it now seems to occur with any multipage PDF document. It opens to page 1 but page 2 is above page 1 and so forth. Did this occur with the update?

You propably enable it by pressing F11 unintentionally.

I think rather it's a bug in foxit.
Why on 2 differents pc, this problem occurs ? And only since last update ?

I don't press F11 key unintentionally all the time...

Not really sure if it's a bug or not. Actually we tried to reproduce it but with no luck. Please help providing us a copy of your files for our watching on and you computer system by this tool: www.foxitsoftware.com/tools/getcomputerinfo.exe .

I appreciate your help to find the cause in advance.

BTW, F11 will serve for a shortcut to Full Screen in our incoming version 3.0.

Hi Christina:

I've forwarded the requested information re: my setup via your Foxit "getcomputerinfo" program. Hopefully this will help you determine the problem(s) we are having.

Regarding the possibibility of pressing F11 - I acknowledge that might have occurred. The question for all of us is how do we "correct" that and/or a program "bug"? Can we simply press F11 to Re-Reverse the download order? Do we do that, then download our PDF documents? Or will this change the order of a document that has been downloaded?

Help Please - I just downloaded a 16 page technical document PDF that is fundamentally unreadable in reverse order - it just doesn't work with drawings, technical writing or ....

Thanks - Dave :1_32:

Hello All - Christina:

Just for fun I uninstalled/reinstalled Version 2.3 several times with same results, Reverse Order of Pages for downloaded PDF's. Very Frustrating :1_31:

I then removed and downloaded Version 2.2 (still on Foxit website) and Voila - correct order of pages. YMMV!

At this point Christina/Support Staff - YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THIS VERSION!

I would recommend a review immediately!

Thanks, Good Luck to All

Christina:

Simply - the first page ends up at the bottom of the document, the second next & so forth with the last page at the top of the document - ie Reverse Order - Last Page at top, First Page at Bottom.

It then becomes very difficult to read - First or Second etc. page from top to bottom, then go up to top of next page > down to bottom, then up again and again and again! Sorry but this is very difficult to explain or follow w/o example - I'll try to send you one via the Foxit support site.

Can't you press F11 to recover the page order, then read your document?

Please note: If Reverse View is enabled, this view mode will be applied to all the following opened files, including files opeing within a browser. If you don't turn off the mode and close Reader window, you will have this mode again when you're in Reader window next time.

I admit this is a bit confused sometimes. If I leave the Reverse View on and exist Reader window. Then when I come back later, I will surprise to see my pages are in Reverse Order, but I don't enable it this once! It's because Reader remember my last View mode!

If you have no problem reading your technical document PDF by turning off Reverse View and don't have further query on this issue, I will make suggestion to request some changes on this Reverse View Setting.

Hello,

For me, the problem don't appear all the time, so it's difficult to reproduce it.
But since i have uncheck Reverse view option (on the pc with winXP) i don't have encounter it...

When i had this problem, it's appear always with same pdf. So i think it's a bug with bookmark function which save position of pdf. But bookmark function is disabled on my 2 pc.

If i encounter problem again, i send you the pdf.

Thanks

Hi Christina:

Thanks for the response & email, unfortunately inside the "free" version of Foxit (2.3) there does not appear to be a way to change the order of the pages. I have pressed F11 numerous times and nothing changes, I have opened Foxit w/o a file, then pressed F11, then downloaded a file and it is STILL in Reverse Order. I think that something has become corrupted within the program for despite uninstalling/reinstalling several times, it continues to behave in this manner - Reverse Order ONLY.

To solve this problem as per response last night, I've removed Version 2.3 and reverted to Version 2.2 which works fine!

From my perspective, this is definitely a "BUG"! :1_15:

This is a weird behavior. You know the file you send to me work fine in my PC. I've forwarded your case to the testing team for furhter investigation. Hopefully they can find something different...

I had this problem for quite a while and it was really frustrating.

It happened when I was reading a particularly heavy-going text that required a fair bit of concentration on my part. Since the text was quite technical, various things in Foxit started distracting my concentration - such as the ad-bar thingy changing colour all the time. I tried to hide it by seeing if there was a full-screen mode that would just display just the pdf contents and nothing else. I tried that with F11. The distracting ad thing was still in view.

Later, I noticed that another pdf was opening at the bottom first, but with the first page at the bottom. I was having to use "page up" to move down. It then happened with the next pdf. And the next. And the next etc... agghhhh!.

After much hair pulling I decided to check this forum out.

Answer that fixed it? Simply pressing F11 while viewing an "upside down" document fixed it.

Toggling F11 flips it from one mode to the other.

I'm sure other users have just gotten confused by this F11 thing and its not a bug.
