If Norton AV warns Editor as a "worm",
please add 'editor' to 'norton antivirus options - internet - program control', making editor legal to access to internet.
For other firewalls, you can make similar change to the settings.

Could you please explain this a little bit further? Why should I permit internet access to a program which only has to fulfill pure offline tasks? Hoping that PDF Editor does not "phone home" without my approval, I see absolutely no reason to do so.

UDP loopback on localhost 255.255.255.255?

Does it stealthily send back some user informations (names, registration info, etc)?

Scary ? that nobody has a reply to PIGSgrame's question posted Sept.13 2006. That is now over 5 months old. Why should I and how can I trust Foxit if a perfectly reasonable question (IMHO at least) with this kind of possible implications does not get answered?

It is because that Editor needs network access to verify your keyfile on our server.

PDF Editor v2.0: Among the DNS addresses it tries to communicate with I have google.com, godaddy.com, sprint.com, grisoft.cz, eBay. I use google and grisoft regularly but know nothing about the others. Why is PDFeditor trying to communicate with theses sites?
I have blocked Editor with my Firewall and I don't see any difference in its operation (I'm only a new user). What happens if I block Editor from communcating with the internet?

Sorry for late reply, and thanks for your input. We have tested many time with different system circumstances, Editor doesn't communicate with any websites. It will only communicate with our server when you register editor key online. Please be sure if there are any other softwares doing this communication.
Any questions, please let me know.
