I downloaded the .zip version of Foxit Reader.
It will not open online PDF documents online ~ I get a blank window ~
I have tried opening online PDF's by right clicking the online document & using 'open' & 'open in a new window' Both these options leave me with a blank screen.
I have gone to Foxit Reader, edit, preferences & installed Foxit reader as the default viewer.
I have checked the box to allow Foxit Reader to open in a browser window.
I have also tried right clicking on Foxit Reader.exe & used the 'run as administrator' option, hoping this would solve the problem, but ~ When I try this, I get a message saying that: "Windows cannot open the specified device, path or file as you may not have appropriate permissions" ~ So I cannot 'run as administrator'
I have been to the Foxit update site, thinking maybe the reader needed some updates to help with this, but there were no updates available.
I am using XP pro & IE6.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have installed Foxit Reader to explicitly read online PDF documents.
Thankyou in advance.

Hi hellonwheels, can't you open all pdfs from all websites? Do you get any prompt messages before a blank window?

"Windows cannot open the specified device, path or file as you may not have appropriate permissions" ~ So I cannot 'run as administrator'
--It sounds something wrong with your system. If this is the cause, you can try the following way to see if it helps:

1. Reinstall your IE6
2. Create another user account with admin access
