View Full Version : [Help] Searching for comments and highlights

Hi,

I'd like to know if there is a way to search for the next high-lighted item or the next comment in the PDF document, inserted by users. This would make it very easy to navigate to a required position in the document. If this is not available, is it something that I can program using JavaScript?

Also, is there a way to insert bookmarks into the document and then later jump to those bookmarks?

Thanks -

Todd

Hello Todd,

1. 'search for comment entries' -- this is a feature in our to-do-list. I will add your comment to the feature list.

2. You can program the search function using our SDK. See http://forums.foxitsoftware.com/showthread.php?p=27037#post27037

3. You can't insert bookmark into the document, but you can add bookmark in the Boomark pane and then link the bookmark to a section a you want.

Regards
Christina

Christina,

Thank you for the fast response and the helpful link.

I have a follow-up question, and will post it separately under a new topic if you will ask me to: Is there a way to permanently disable the document message bar that says "This document contains interactive form fields."? It takes up valuable screen real-estate, and it's a nuisance to turn off each time.

Thank you,

Todd

Currently there is not an option to permanently turn off this form message bar. I will let our developerment team know your need.

Please go to Advanced|Form Utilities|Always Hide Document Message Bar, this command will permanently turn it off .
