whenever I write something in chinese in a document (using Typewriter), the text shows up all right for a second, but as soon as I move the document (with fx the hand tool), the chinese text disappears. This happens no matter what font-type I use.
I also cannot copy chinese text using the Select Text tool (the program simply doesn't copy anything when I press ctrl-c - also the "copy" function in the Edit bar is greyed out, when I choose chinese text).
i use foxit reader 3.0 on vista
and I LOVE foxit

hello, does this issue happens on all the PDF files in your computer?
Which build of Foxit Reader do you use?
Thanks and Best Regards!
Edit: please provide us a copy of the pdf document in question.

I use build 1301.
Yes, it happens on every pdf document I try. I've tried the same thing on my other computer and the same thing happens (both run vista business and foxit build 1301).
very happy if you could help.

I've just realized that there's a problem with inputting Danish characters as well (which functioned well in the 2.3 version). The special Danish letters are displayed as squares when written by the Typewriter tool. Strange.

I can input something in Chinese. Would you please send us your OS information?
Please download a program from here:
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/tools/getcomputerinfo.exe
Run it>click GetInfo>choose Save>copy all the info listed there to us.
Please send it to support@foxitsoftware.com.
All the files you send us will be kept confidential and only for internal use.

I'm very sorry, but I never install something unless I'm absolutely sure what it is (bitter experiences). Is there any other way I can tell you what you need to know? Sometimes even harmless software makes windows crash and burn.

I don't know if it's any help but it turns out that in some interactive forms (though not all), the text I input into a field also disappears as soon as I change focus from that particular field (by e.g. changing tool or simply moving on to another field in the form).

For the interactive forms described in the #7 post, please download from our website version 3.0.1301 that's an updted version, and then try again.
If the problem put in your first post behave different from #7, please provide us a sample for testing.
