Hello, I am sorry about that.
The file foxitreaderOCX.ocx is in the folder of Foxit Reader/plugins. You can delete it directly.
In addition, our developers make an improvement on plugin for Firefox. Would you like to try once more? If so, please download Foxit Reader version3.0 1301 again from our website, run it, go to Help-> Check for Update Now-> choose Firefox Plugin-> install.
Thanks in advance!

I tried that and at the end of installation I got that Firefox or Opera was not found. I was using firefox when I installed the plugin.

So I uninstalled foxit pdf reader. Closed firefox. Installed it again. Open it up, and tried to install the plugin again. I got following message:

So now when I open the pdf file. I receive same error.

Hello hsbsitez, the image tells me your Mozilla could not be installed properly. Please try to reinstall it. If the same result have, please give me a link to the mozilla installation package you downloaded. I will give it a try.

I reinstalled firefox, then foxit, and then the plugin and it works now.

I originally had not installed firefox on this computer after I reinstalled windows, and was using the files from the backup. Hence, nothing existed in registry.
