Does eSlick support Cyrillic text ? I am interested in reading some Russian txt and pdf files.
If eSlick does support Cyrillic, then I have a number of friends who will get this device right away, including myself.

I believe eslick can display any text as long as the fonts are embedded. And maybe it can also read them with proper font uploaded.

If you are using Foxit PDF Creator:
When you have that document open:
1) File>Print
2) Select Foxit PDF Printer > Properties
3) Click the Fonts tab
4) Click "embed all fonts"
Hope that helps.

Can you please check if Open Office can embed fonts:
menu file -> export to pdf
tic "PDF/A1"
Will this work on eSlick ?

As long as fonts are embeded in PDF, PDF will be displayed correctly in eSlick.
In my end, If PDF/A1 is ticked, OpenOffice can embed fonts to the pdf during conversion.

I can confirm it does support "Cyrillic" as long as the fonts are embedded. I was playing a bit with it yesterday and if you are converting from word for instance into pdf using "Foxit PDF Creator" you have to embed all fonts used in document otherwise text comes up as a set of squiggles.
