ESlick SD Card and efficiency

Hello, eSlickers. Do you think that when a SD card stores huge amount of data the (holy) eSlick will need more time to initial the machine? I think so, and I'll try to find the fact later.

When I copied several mega-bytes of documents into the SD card and turned my baby eSlick, it staggered at the logo-page. And I thought: "Wow! It's not a PC, but it crashed." After about one minute, It went into the main menu. I remenbered that when the SD card was near empty the eSlick was fast. Thus, do you think that congestion in the card get into a jam in the eSlick?

Ahh, news. I downloaded "Principia Mathematica" and "History of the decline and fall of the Rome empire" from the Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page), that the former e-book has about 20 documents with 20 pages in each file and the later one has 7 documents correponding to 7 volumns. And I've viewed the first file of "Principia Mathematica" and turn off ESlick when the directory of the book in SD card. ESlick was really slow when booting. I'm not sure if it is because my surliness usage. (And, by the way, I've learnt the Reset feature.)

The problem menstioned in the previous post was eliminated by removing several non-document files; I'd put some software projects in the SD card by accident and gotten into the trouble, and when removing those files ESlick was back to be fast.

A notion in my mind is that the difference of processing abilities between PC and ESlick need to be concerned, and it is nice if there's some e-book evaluation software.

don't know if your already doing it or not, but try using folders to organize your documents. I tested mine with any sub-folders and about 400 documents on an SD card and yes it was VERY slow starting up.

After foldering everything in an organized fashion, it was back to starting up very quickly.

FYI: All SDCard are slow.To justify it, try to use your CellPhone' sdcard to copy from computer into your cellphone.Even the SDHC class 6 is slow.
