On page 34 of the User Manual there is a picture of the preferences:

1. Reading Record
2. Auto Landscape

I don't have the Reading Record, ESlick only shows Auto Landscape can anybody confirm this?

Yes, I also only have the Auto Landscape preference, but, AFAIK, I have the Reading Record function, always enabled.

What's the auto landscape for? I turned it on, and all Igot was that the landscape option in the menu changed to grey.

To turn on 'auto landscape' in Preference, means all files will be opened in landscape by default, and that preference can't be changed in the file Menu until it is turned off.

I had Auto Landscape turned on in preferences (before I figured out it got convoluted with reflow). I've since turned it off.

PDF docs were never opened in landscape mode when it was on...

If I'm not mistaken Auto Landscape only puts documents in landscape mode when the Width of the document is greater then the Height.

Thanks michael, that's correct. Sorry I didn't put it clearly.
