I have Foxit PDF Editor v2.0 build 1011.
Every time I open a pdf document a new properties window popus on top of the document. I know I can close it but it is so annoying to close it every time. Since I like this particular editor and don't want to give it up because of small fault I am posting it here in hopes to find an answer on how to disable this window poping up every time I open a ned document.
Thanks everybody for their input.

Currently the Properties window can't be turned off permanently, but it can be resized during a session. Just make it samller by dragging it's border, and move it to a place say Toolbar so it doesn't intefere.

I will let our development team know this. Thanks.

I have never seen a programm that would open properties window automatically on start every time you open something.
I searched the forum and didn't see anybody post about the issue so probably it doesn't bother anybody and maybe it is just me. But still I find it very annoying and i am not handling alot of pdf documents. And your suggestion ro resize it doesn't sound very good to me because it is much much easier to close it.
Good luck.

Sorry for this inconvenience.

Since most editting work are needed to be done within Properites panel, that's why it was designed to start with every file opening. But I have let our developers know this, we will improve it.

You meantioned 'But still I find it very annoying and i am not handling alot of pdf documents. '
--Would you please be more detailed? I hope I could be of a little help on this issue.

hi,

I was just going to post to ask how to get rid of it.

I don't know what other people do, but when I open the editor, I most often only want to delete extra things on a page that I've downloaded from the web.

Ads and "click here to print" etc

Or else I want to add or delete a piece of text.

Thanks for being there to answer questions and for forwarding customer feedback.

Mike

To delete an object, simply select the object, and hit Delete key. To add text, select the Add Text icon to insert text.

I think andrey means that he doesn't use pdf's alot (i.e. he doesn't need that properties window because he is not using the program for that purpose)

I also do not use pdf's that much. I hate adobe and I think it is over rated and bloated. This program suits my needs for making minor changes but I also use it as my default pdf reader. That means, when I want to just read the document, I have to either: resize the window each time or close it each time. That becomes cumbersome after awhile.

I think your program is simple, elegant, yet full of rich features that I will not use anything else. But this is an annoyance of mine that other people seem to be having.

Is it really that difficult to have under Edit --> Options --> Other a line that says "Open Properties Windows automatically when opening" and a box next to it to check or uncheck?

If anything is unclear, please let me know and I will try to clarify. I am using Foxit PDF Editor v2.0 build 1011.

Thank you for your considerations and please pass this along to the development team.

I love your product!!!!!!! :-)

Thank much. If you are using Foxit PDF Editor 2.1.0119, please do the following:

Edit->Options->Other->check "Do not show Property Sheet as launching Foxit Editor "

Hello Christina,

Is this option removable in the Foxit Editor 2.0.0.1011?
Thanks
