Please vote: hard case or leather cover?

I noticed that foxit is looking for another cover for eslick because they are not satisfied with the one in pic gallery. I would prefer a hard case instead of leather cover.
E ink screen is fragile, I read all kinds of scary story of broken screen in forums, people looked for every kinds of protection for their reader, including wood box, plastic box, DVD box, tin box, carved out book... Leather cover may look cool, but it really don't have much protection for screen (unless there is a metal board inside the front cover).

So I strongly suggest foxit find a customized hard case for eslick, it could be strong plastic, metal or any suitable material -- I think a metal box could bring trouble in airport, so strong plastic is a better choice. It should be cheaper than a good leather cover, but could be really useful. I would like a sleeve like design like this one

There should be some soft material inside the case, and maybe a buckle to secure the opening.

I don't know what FoxIt's plans are (maybe someone from up above can comment), but I would expect that they'll be looking for something that's already out there that they can brand FoxIT rather than designing a case from the ground up.

My take on it would be similar to yours - a hard notebook/folio style case, with a soft underside facing the screen. Rather than have it slide into something else though, I would want a clasp of some sort on the folio itself so it looks more a day planner. I'm also not strickly opposed to a leather case either, as long as it looks more like a planner and less like something designed to hold an electronic device.

I've noticed that some IT users tend to customize a case for their dingus, such as a leather case for Sony VAIO P15 (http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php?f=258&t=982421&last=11250945, please pick the first link for photos in the first post by bjc4100,) which was made by a local studio. It is good for taking something along.

For reading, a case with plastic clips which let eSlick enchase in is good, such as the photo in Foxit e-reader gallery (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/ebook/images/Foxit_eSlick_Device2.jpg). And it's better that there's some case that full covers the device and has necessary cuts on all faces, including ones for the display, every button and slot, and a hole in the bottom-left corner of eSlick for dangles. By the way, are you aware of any dangles for practicality purpose, that twining an arm to prevent accidentally drop?

Foxit is not planning on designing a case, but we are working with some companies to bring some different cases to be available to purchase soon.
