How to remove password protection - save without password

I have a password protected pdf doc.
I can open it because I know the password.

Now I want to create a copy of this pdf doc but WITHOUT password.

As far as I found out I cannot remove the password protection.
Is this true?

Can I alternatively save a copy without password?
"Save as" saves it again WITH password.

So is there another way?

hello, there is a work-around. Foxit PDF Creator is a virtual printer. You can print any printable file to PDF file with it. Please download and install Foxit PDF Creator.
Then open your file and print it with Foxit PDF printer.
