Fremont, Calif. - April 23, 2009 - Foxit would like to thank you very much for your continued support of eSlick. Based on some user feedback, the eSlick device while in standby mode begins draining the battery after being fully charged (usually after 5 hours of continuous charging). Foxit immediately responded, investigated, identified and fixed this issue. The eSlick devices that were shipped prior to April 1, 2009 should have this problem. Foxit will have the firmware update available soon, and in this update performance enhancements and minor bug fixes will be included. The details of the updates and bug fixes will be listed on our eSlick website (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/ebook) when available.

Foxit strongly recommends that you update your firmware even if you have not experienced this problem yet. Foxit will make the update installation as simple and intuitive as possible allowing you to do it yourself via the website. If you are uncomfortable or have concerns about installing the firmware update yourself, you can return it to Foxit and we will install it for you. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have any concern. Customer satisfaction is always our top priority.

Maybe the Foxit's developers are still developing the Installer or Setup Package fo the Firmware so that it's intuitive for the users.Because I just got my Eslick with a new firmware. Thanks!

Unfortunately, my battery drains even when the eSlick is off.

Mine does too... I'm just about ready to call them up about returning the unit.
