Could someone explain why after editing a PDF file with Foxit, deleting 80% of the pages, that the file size does not shrink at all?

Due to PDF format properties, editing a PDF file will not remove any objects in PDF file.
And it just change the displaying of the original PDF file.

Well that kinda stinks, don't ya think?
Any suggestions on how to reduce the size? Maybe conversion to HTML...?
Thanks

I think that maybe Foxit printer driver may have options to reduce the resolution so as to shrink the file down. Just print to PDF the PDF file to be shrieked and reduce the resolution in the properties dialogged.
