Greetings,
I've been using Adobe for years, but I've made the jump to FoxIt PDF Creator. My needs are simple, but there are a few tricks that I've been unable to replicate in FoxIt, many of which are related.
First, given PDF_File_A, I would like to be able to insert PDF_File_B such that the contents of B begin immediately after the last page of A. Adobe Acrobat had a rather obvious "Insert Pages" option that FoxIt lacks, but I'm sure that the functionality is there - right?
Second - very similar to the first... Given PDF_File_A, I'd like to be able to add a new page, the contents of which would be generated from a specified PNG or GIF image. I'm guessing the solution to this is the same the solution to the one above.
Third, I'm having a problem with the "Convert to PDF" option under the File drop-down. I select it, and then I navigate to my GIF or PNG. I select the file. A small window says "Converting Files: filename.png" ... and then the box hangs. Meanwhile, Microsoft's "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" pops open, and the specified image is displayed. I've no idea why. The "Converting" box has a progress bar that quietly hangs at the two-thirds mark. Closing the "Viewer" window is possible, but not useful. The only way to get rid of the "Converting" window is to manually abort the process by clicking the red X. For the record, these are rather small images; usually under 50kb in size.
Fourth, I'd like to know how I can change the default "Open" properties for a PDF file. For example, I'd like to be able to change the properties such that when the PDF is opened, it always displays the bookmarks.
Last, I'd like to know how I can select one or more pages of a PDF file, and rotate those pages in 90 degree increments (or re-order them).
I would be most grateful for any assistance.
