I'm a newbie using Foxit Reader version 1.3 build 1621. It looks very promising thankyou.

I tried typewriter and typed a clarifying note (for my own benefit) into a .pdf manual for my router, but when I saved my note did not appear when I re-opened later. Is there something I am not doing?:1_28:

Hi Jessamine,
I got vers 2.0 but still no luck.

I am opening a .pdf, clicking the Typwriter, typing in a line of text and pressing Enter.
Then I go to File>Save as and when I select it I get a message about "You can only save as the original. The security permission in this document prohibits save". By the way, the Save icon (floppy disc) is greyed out.

RELAX Jessamine. I have just realised the problem. The security permission refers to the particular .pdf example I was using. (I do not think that message came up using the previous version of Foxit.) I tried another different .pdf and had no problem. Also the Save icon was active. How unlucky that I chose an exceptional file first time. Murphy's Law proven once again.

I expect Foxit and myself will be friends

p.s. Is there a work-around. I would really like to ad some info. to that file?

Hi,
I am sorry I really don't know how to do that.
Maybe some guys here may help you. :-)
