Sorry, but would you please let me know what's the copywritten documents? could you please supply us a sample to see what's going on?

He probably means PDFs that have been locked. It's definitely an annoyance especially if you buy RPG Pdf's that eventually receive errata, you are unable to update your own pdf. And rarely do they release patches to automatically update the pdf.

Of course if you get the PDF online at otherwise-less-than-reputable-sources, its been purged of that locked nonsense. As well many tools that will bust open a locked PDF.

But I guess locking their files gives the publishers a false sense of security, while it annoys their customers to the point where they just wont buy from them again.
