Hello,
Before install Foxit PDF IFilter, you need to stop the service.
After you install it ,please execute "iisreset net stop spsearch net start spsearch" in command prompt of your WSS 3.0. you can refer to pages 9,12.
I think after that ,you can find the pdf file you want.
