Disable some items in the UI for company networks

Hi,

For company networks some features in Foxit Reader should be disabled or not available for domain users/normal users.

1. Check for updates now
2. Convert PDF.
3. Missing component dialog boxes

You could disable these items via reg, e.g: disableconvertpdf=1. For controlled environments this is absolutely vital.

Well, I understand the commercial background. But you could make these reg hacks available for those who have purchased the pro pack.

I don't know whether I misunderstood your idea.
But check for updates are available for all users. So is Convert PDF, but with evaluation mark.
I don't quite follow what you mean by say "missing component dialog boxes".

What Marck means is that he doesn't want his users to check for updates. He controls the network, so he checks for updates (and checks if a computer doesn't crash with new software).

We already had a feature request for this, but the topic is gone.
