I just downloaded this as the website made it sound really good. But the first thing I want to do is just edit some text. No where in the documentation does it tell you how to do this. I want to add a word to a sentence but it either puts a box around the text and types over the existing text or I can change one letter at a time.

How can something so simple be so hard to figure out or even find in the manual? Right now I am sure glad I haven't purchased this.

Select Touch Up tool, right click on any blank place you want to insert text, select Add a Text Object in the pop-up content menu.

I too have been driven mad all day with this problem. Nothing in the manual, only just occurred to me to come on the site and see if there's a FAQ or forum.

Whilst your answer is correct, it's not exactly intuitive. I also had to look up "Touch up Tool" as hovering over the buttons doesn't give it's name. Another question why is the method of handling existing text different to that of handling text you add within the program. Text should be text and handled by 1 button, not 2.

If use TouchUp tool to add text, it will be only edited by touch up tool.

What's the 2nd tool did you mean? Typerwriter tool? If so, please note, typerwriter tool is supposed to add text as a comment.

Yes, but how do you edit existing text?

It only appears to be possible to delete a whole line

Double click on the text, the cursor will appear in the dot rectangle, you shall be able to edit the text.
