We have been using the editor for about a week now, and evaluating it as our primary pdf editor. Everything was working fine, but yesterday the editor began locking up when trying to save or save as. The work we do requires a lot of deleting pdf files, and there has never been a problem until now.

Now the program loads and appears to work properly, all deletions are done correctly, but when we save - crash - immediate lockup. The only way out is to close the program, and when we check, the file has not been changed - the save was not done.

Using XP.

Thanks for any direction

P.S. Other than this, a great editor and very encouraging.

As an add on to this post, I removed the program, and the reader, and then ran a registry cleaner and rebooted. Then I reloaded the program, thinking I had gotten everything off, and when I opened the editor, the docs I had been working on were still in the recent docs list. How did I miss cleaning that off. Where is this info residing. I need a complete clean to re-instal, but there are data tucked away somewhere and perhaps theyare the problem. How do I clean thoroughly so I can get a clean re-install?

It seems that you have not cleaned Foxit Editor items in regedit.
Please check it.

Where in the registry would I find this information, please?

Please go to "Start"->"Run"-> input regedit-> find "Foxit Editor" under "Foxit Software" folder and then delete.

Well we have done that, re-loaded and no luck - still won't save, nothing. For a while it worked great, and aside from the watermark, the save was normal. I honestly don't know if it is our machine or the program, but barring a resolution I think we will have to stick with Acrobat :(
