All Foxit customers who purchased Foxit Reader Pro before are now entitled to upgrade your Foxit Reader Pro to Foxit Reader 2.0. Please check the following instruction of how to upgrade.

1)Copy your key file (frpkey.txt) from the directory where you saved Foxit Reader Pro and save it into a new directory, e.g. C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader.

2)Uninstall Foxit Reader Pro.

3)Download Foxit Reader 2.0 zip package (.zip) or installer (.exe).

4)For the zip package, extract it to the same directory where your key file was saved, e.g. C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader. Run FoxitReader.exe to check if your licensee name is displayed in “about” box.

5)For the installer, save it to the same directory where your key file was saved, e.g. C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader. Click setup.exe to finish installation. Also you can check if your licensee name is displayed in “about” box.

I am a registered use of foxit reader 2.0 (and foxit pro before that).
During upgrades available I downloaded both the editor and th creator AND there is a key in their folders, i.r
C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\PDF Editor\pedkey.txt
I didnt pay for editor but there appears to be a key, although it doesnt work.

So two questions

1. how come there is a key, that doesnt work.
2. how does pdf editor differ from the editing features in paperport when you open a pdf document in their reader?

Inotherwords, why should I pay pdf editor when I have paperport now.
