Hi,

I am designing a form that is basically a simple spreadsheet. I have found that ALL the formulas do not recalculate throughout the form when an input is made into a text box until another change is made to another field in the form. I want it to act just like an excel sheet that recalculates the WHOLE form, not just the updated text field. What is the easiest way to do this?

Thanks,

Gary

BTW, is there a javascript reference available yet to indicate what is compatible with the form designer?

You can use the Properties -> Calculate options to do it.

Thanks for replying, but please clarify. The only "properties" option on my menu is under FILE and there is no CALCULATE option. There is a CALCULATION ORDER option under FORMS but that is useless as I want the whole worksheet to calculate when ANY field is changed and changing the order does not do this. This project is useless unless I can update ALL the formulas in the form. Is there a javascript command I can use? I am using the SIMPLIFIED FIELD NOTATION under the CALCULATE tab of the fields.

thanks,
Gary

Okay I used the FORM CALCULATION ORDER and mapped out how the formulas need to update and that is working. I have another problem, however. I wanted to test the form using Foxit Readed first then Acrobat Reader (I built this form in Phantom, which I am evaluating for 30 days). The form works in Phantom but in Foxit Reader (registered copy of 2.3 with form designer) some formulas are missing or do not work at all and the form does not recalculate. What is going on?

thanks,

Gary
