I was on the verge of buying a Phantom license and then went and did that one last test that put a doubt in mind.
I created a simple pdf by printing a document. The resulting file was 11K in size. I then used the editor to add a 751K jpg file, which I saved. There were no other changes to the document. What resulted was a 10Mb file. I'm struggling to understand how 11K + 751K = 10M.
Thinking I had made a mistake, I deleted the image and saved the file again, thinking it would drop back to 11K. It didn't, it remained at 10M.
I'm not seeing too many options to do with images, so am concerned that adding a relatively small image could cause the file size to baloon like this and even more concerned that the situation could not be recovered by deleting the image.
Is this normal? Is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks
Steve
