Foxit Reader Version 2 build 0912

When I open a form PDF through Internet Explorer I am unable to interact with the form - I can't click on buttons and I can't click on or fill in fields.

If I open the form directly with Foxit Reader I can happily interact with the form and all works well.

Is there any reason for the difference in behaviour??

Is there anything I can do to get the form completion process working within IE??

Thanks!

D.

See http://foxitsoftware.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=920&highlight=forms : From our developers:
Actually this is not a bug. Foxit Reader does not open Formfiller feature for IE plugin. This could be done for our next release. (Emphasis added)

Obviously, it wasn't!

Please, somebody, let us know when it will REALLY be done!

Hi,

Here is one that I uploaded before: http://foxitsoftware.com/bbs/attachment.php?attachmentid=496&d=1152545258

If you click on the link, it will open with Foxit Reader in an IE window, and you can't fill out the form.

If you instead save it onto your computer and open it with Foxit Reader, the form can be filled.

Hi,
I just find out that Reader cannot fill form online.
I will report it as a feature request to our developers.

Could you please give us an update on the progress of adding this feature to FoxitReader? I no longer have Acrobat Reader installed, but I believe that forms opened with Acrobat Reader inside of a browser window can be filled.

Hi,
Please be patient. A new version will come out very soon.
I will remind them to improve it as soon as possible.

It looks like this didn't get done AGAIN! Any idea NOW when it will be added?

I'd like to know if this will be included as well - I'd like to recommend Foxit to end users of the document management software my company develops, since the Foxit Reader is in a lot of ways much better than the Acrobat Reader, but when you open a PDF form through the browser plug in, you can't even see any of the data!! So if you create the PDF dynamically through our software, then open it via the plugin, it looks blank, which is obviously a problem... Opening the same PDF in Foxit directly shows all the form data.
