Hi folks,
I found a problem reffering the default printer settings within microsoft os
(WinXP Pro) that encounters in foxit v2.x (and many other applications as
well). Microsoft products (e.g. Office Components don't seem to have
this problem):
In WinXP you are able to predefine default settings for each printer installed.
But if you want to print a document with foxit and you have to change
from the system's default printer to another one, at least a few predefined
flags for this printer are not read (or not correctly read).
Main problem is, that the values for the document layout are not changed
and still you can find the settings from the default printer.
Example:
System's default printer: Predefined form "A4" (21,0 x 29,7 cm)
Another printer: Predefined form "User" (5,0 x 9,5 cm)
After opening the document with the user size (5,0 x 9,5 cm)
and selecting the print button the printer dialog appears with
the system's default printer selected. The document are adjusted to print
on the system default printer paper size (21,0 x 29,7 cm).
Now after changing to another printer the new predefined form is not loaded
or not correctly read (you'll still find the values from the default printer that are 21,0x29,7 AND NOT 5,0x9,5cm).
If you open the property of the other printer and don't change
anything but leave the property window with the ok button the
correct form size is now used.
Any help or idea or is it a bug ?
