Hi,

I've replaced some text and logo on our companys collection of PDFs, the file size comes upto 270 kb after editing whereas original is 67 kb. I'm using a GIF image of size 6 kb as logo and text is few lines. I've tried Acrobat 7.0 to reduce the file size, even then it comes to 265 kb. I'm just selecting old text and logo, deleting it ......and then copy and paste for new items between PDFs. Is there a way to control file size in Foxit Editor?? 'cause i'm gonna run out of space on web hosting, if I use these files.

Thanks in advance for help .

Ash

It is really hard to tell the reason exactly why file size grow up so dramatically because the logo image size might grow up when converted to PDF or if it use internal resources of the file.
We currently do have way to control file size within PED. However, we are going to release something to optimze PDF files which can greatly reduce file size and get rid of all rubbish info of the PDFs.

I'm having the same problem (pdf with lineart, text and 1 image):
- imput pdf: ~300kb
- editing with foxit (only deleting some content) and save: ~400kb
- optimize size with acrobat: ~350kb, but with image quality loss

Hope too there will be some optimisation options in future... I wonder where those 50kb came from?!
