I discovered and downloaded Foxit Reader yesterday and I like it... until I try to print a document. Printer is an HP Photosmart P1000. Document prints, photos and drawings are ok, but except some headings, text is not readable as you can see in the attached scanned document.
Something wrong in my settings, or a bug?
Thanks for advice.

Had the same problem (WinXP, HP OfficeJet G95, FoxitReader 2.0.2006.0930): font seems mixed up/broken. Works with this version (FoxitReader 2.0.2006.1115).
Connection was a bit slow, by the way.
Thanx
Thomas

Hi

This newest beta version (1115) works fine for me.
(W2k, HP Officejet 7140xi)
It is the first version which gives no printing problems in combination with this printer.

Thanks again

I'm having the exact same problem printing with some text unreadable. I have a HP 3820 Deskjet.
I get 'cannot find server' if I try to download from the above link. Is it still available?

I get 'cannot find server' if I try to download from the above link. Is it still available? The download link works for me. Try this...copy the following URL, paste it into your browser's address bar, and then hit enter or click go.
ftp://foxit:foxit@forward.foxitsoftware.com/foxitReader.exe

Did that too and you wait and wait til it times out. Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable.
If anyone has it can they zip it and attach it to their reply here?

It just worked for me. Maybe you could have a friend download it for you. There may be a problem with your computer or ISP preventing you from downloading it.

Yeah I suppose i could muck around all day trying it but I have 3 different ISP's to choose from and it doesnt work with any of them. I also have 4 different computers. Maybe they all have the same problem? I don't think so.
All I asked was if someone could zip it and attach it to the thread. Very simple and will save me a lot of time.
I don't really want to go back t Adobe but I havent got a lot of choice at the moment.

You seem to have quite an attitude for someone asking for help...

I simply have a problem that I cant get to the ftp link through several different routes. Thankyou for taking the time to attach the file. It works fine, printing is clear.

That is good news. That confirmation hopefully that means that Foxit's next release will truly fix the printing problems that some have experienced!
