v1.3 Foxit Reader comments

Hi everyone,

Tks for such a great Foxit reader program!

Tried it for the first time... comments as below:

1) What is this "Typewriter" function under Tools>>Typewriter ?
Does it allow one to type in any words and let it "Save" it as another PDf file?
(It doesn't seem to work--reloading the saved PDF file don't show the user typed words anymore).

2) How to uninstall Foxit program?
Can't find foxit.exe in any folder, and not in Add/Remove_Program...
(Do I just delete the Foxit folder ??)

3) Traditional Chinese support has some rendering problems, especially with vertical lines. (i did install the fpdfcjk.bin file into the Foxit folder)...

4) Future feature request: Support for Acrobat version 7 PDF files (where one can write words into the forms?), and maybe even allow one to save these info?

5) Future feature request: Allow user to delete one (or more) PDF pages, then save it again?
Reason: I normally keep only 1 page of the 20-page PDF file, keep only the info for reference. would be nice for Foxit to have this function--very handy!


Overall a GREAT program especially considering the size of it...

1) In freeware version you can just print out this file with the typewriter changes. In Pro version you can save these files.

2) Yes, just delete this foxit folder!

3) Do you have a sample file which you can post here?

4) and 5) wait for Arthur, he'll answer this :)

Do you have an email address i can email the file to you?

Shows the (incomplete) rendering of Traditional Chinese characters... missing vertical lines...
