After downloading and installing Foxit Reader spybot search and destroy found smitfraud c in the registration.exe

Registration.exe does exist in the path given by spybot.

Are you aware of any problems in the subject file.

Thanks

I don't think registration.exe has anything whatsoever to do with Foxit. Where did you get your copy of the program?

I've never heard of a file called registration.exe in combination with foxitreader.

The subject registration.exe file was in the Creator plug-in

When opened it was a file to register your program

Is Creator a 3rd Party or a Foxit issued plug-in

Anyway deleted same all spybot scans now clean.

Still interested on knowing why smitfraud c part of the foxit system.

Yes, there is a registration.exe file in creator for registration. Is there any problem with it?

Spybot search and destroy found the registration.exe file and listed it as spyware and or Trojan

The infection was smitfraud c in:

c:\documents and settings\username\localsettings\temp\registration. exe

Registration.exe also found in c:\program file\foxit\creator

I was able to clean my computer using a number of programs

Question is why is smitfraud c in this registration file.:1_29:
