View Full Version : (Fixed) BUG Problem with missing table grid lines

I often have to generate PDF files in OpenOffice. When there are tables in my documents, it appears that each time I open the generated PDF file with Foxit Reader (even with the latest build from today) some/many table grid lines are missing on screen and on prints, whereas they used to be there with Adobe Reader.
I give you an example of such a file in the attachment:
Test 1 table should have 5 rows and 5 columns.
Test 2 table should have 15 rows and 10 columns.
I don't know if this is a known bug and if it can be adressed. But I'd be very happy if it could. Thanks in advance.

Yes,you are right! There is a problem with zoom-in and zoom-out.
If you zoom-in to 800% in this file, all lines are shown.
@Developers: Please fix that, thanks ;)

OK. Now that I know that developers are aware about it, I'll wait for a bugfix in a next ralease. 'Cause a 800% print wouldn't be very suitable fo my needs. lol

This sounds similar to the bug reported at http://www.foxitsoftware.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=302 . I wonder if they are related?

Another point that might be of interest to the developers is the fact that what is printed isn't the same as what is seen on the screen, still not complete though.

This bug was found in build 0819 at first time. After that it have been promised to fix in nex release, but as you can see it's still there. The 0708 is the latest build what renders tables correctly.
Topics about bug. There might be even more topics about this bug.

I was going through this thread about missing grid lines. I am wondering if this is also related to a thread I had posted
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=325
If I zoom, the equations and the figure do appear properly. I have sent the necessary files to support@foxitsoftware.com.

Every body who have's problems with viewing lines.
Please test this Foxit Reader build 0708 http://rapidshare.de/files/7874670/pdfrd.zip.html. Like I told earlier, in the build 0708 these lines should work. I had to upload it to rapidshare because the forum didn't allow me to upload zip files biger than 488 KB :(

We did received this report long before and fixed already for version after Build0708.
However, this problem somehow bounced back to the current version. I have asked our developers and tester to carry out more testing on it for our next release.
Thank you.

I tryed that file in XP and it doesn't work. :( So in XP that bug isn't fixed and I guess that if you use gdiplus.dll it doesn't work either.
