LISP 1.5 Programmers Manual.pdf (http://community.computerhistory.org/scc/projects/LISP/book/LISP 1.5 Programmers Manual.pdf)

When I get to page 3 in that book it opens up the update manager (see attachment) which fails instantly and gives me no information at all about what's going on. The only pages in the book that don't appear to be blank in that book is the first and last page.

What I would like to know is what is it trying to download and how can I trick foxit into viewing the book.

That document was saved as Acrobat 7 compatibility. Even Acrobat 6 complained about it. Someone forgot to knock it down to Acrobat 5 or 4 compatibility. Shame on them! People who scan books should know better.

I can open it under Acro 6, extract images and rebuild it under Acro 6 and optimize so it's Acro 5 compatible. Works fine then.

Gosh, people still using LISP? Or are you doing some Autocad stuff?
