I like Foxit Reader except....

I think it has two bugs.

1) When I click on a link embedded in a pdf the Foxit Reader attempts to pull the linked pdf from my temporary internet files on my local PC instead of going to the internet. Of course the file is not there so I get an error message.

2) The text selection tool does not work at all. When attempt to select one or two words it selects all text previous to that point.


I have the latest ver 2.0 build 0930. I just downloaded it yesterday and thought at first it was superior to Acrobat but now I'm having my doubts.

Regarding the first one, I think it may be the link's problem.

But it's not a problem for acrobat. I tried the same pdf on my laptop which still has acrobat and the links work fine on it. I can't post the pdf that I tried today but how about this. You post a pdf file with weblinks in it and let me try.

If the sample file is private, please send to support@foixtsoftware.com. We will keep it confidential and delete it after testing.
Most reader problem is file-related. So I don't think it useful for me to post a pdf file here to solve your problem.
