I tried foxit reader pro and had problems with documents containing images with Gouraud shadings : no color at all, just the contours. Does foxit reader understand all of pdf 1.5?
Here's a link (rather heavy document: it's the documentation for a latex package; on page38 and the next ones, there are examples of Gouraud shading in figures):

Your sample file could not be downloaded. It pops up to ask me ID and password.
Could you send it to support@foxitsoftware.com ?
Thank you.

Didn't see it. Could you send it again with subject title as "Foxit Reader Pro and Gouraud shadings" ? Thank you.

Actually, it's more complicated (for me) than I thought: gouraud shading is not rendered in the big doc file I tried to send, but is rendered in the 4 pages document I extracted from the big one (using gsview).
So I (try to) send you both.
Best regards,
Bernard
PS: impossible to send you the big one (1.34 Mb) via this forum. Try to send it again via email
