BUG Annotated PDF does not display

I use a program called PDF Annotator on a Tablet PC to make notes on academic papers for research purposes. These annotated papers open OK in Acrobat Reader, but in the Foxit reader, the annotations are visible but not the underlying text. Its as if Foxit has a white background for the annotations rather than a transparent one, Is this a known problem, or a feature for which I need the Pro version.

Attached is a sample annotated page. The underlying text is visible' in Acrobat, but not in Foxit

I can read the underlying text (foxit 1.3 b1209, win2k)

so possible another cause ...

Thanks, that was a help. I found a copy of 1209 on the internet and that works OK. The 0104 build however does not on three separate machines (2x XP and one W2k ). It looks as if they broke something in the latest release.
I guess I will have to use the older release for now. Can anyone confirm that the 0104 build doesn't work for them either?
