When I open a pdf-file with 8 pages with Foxit Reader 1.3 Build 0104, after changing the page, my whole system freezes and I have to reboot.
I tried a 1-page document (with a graphic contained), and it worked. All other documents more than one page freeze.
OS ist WinXP Pro SP2.
No other applications running.
No problems opening files with Acrobat reader.
All other applications running fine.
Got Foxit Reader 1.3 Beta 0519 running on my Laptop Win 98SE, working fine.
pdf-Creator and Acrobat Reader installed on both machines, working fine.
Only difference I can discover that on the Win98SE-Laptop there are shown placeholders for graphics, they are missing at the Win XP Pro-machine.
Had to run system recovery. Tried new installation. Nothing works.
My system got so smashed that I even had to take out the bios battery.
Any idea?

Please give an example of a file that causes trouble.

Any file.....
The only one of my pdf-files that worked is the one-page-pdf from Acrobat that you get with the Acrobat Reader.
And all the others work fine on my laptop, so the problen cannot be the files themselves.
But meanwhile I suspect that there is something really worse going on. Foxit was the last program I could ever install except mozilla and RegCleaner. Every other program I install now (VLAN-Player, WinSysClean) after Foxit freezes my system as soon as I start it. The programs I installed before do their job.

I think there's anything wrong on your computer and not with foxitreader...
Can you please post a hijackthis-logfile of your computer? http://www.mmdirect.de/downloads/hijackthis_199.zip

still haven't found anything.
Is it possible that somehow some dlls or something like that on my computer are broken and that makes it freeze? Is there a way to find out what dlls Foxit needs?
Just an idea.....
