I run FireFox and Foxit (adoobies wormware not installed) and am using an online ebook llibrary and am encountering a minor problem -- I have trouble reading many of the books.
My local library subscribes to the online library, but the level of subscription is only for online viewing of the ebooks -- no downloading (which is strange, considering the following explanation). Some of the books load fine in their "viewer pane", although navigating the book is awkward at best. However, when trying to load many of the books, I get the download box:
You have chosen to open nlReader.dll which is a: blah blah
so I choose to open it with Foxit. It opens that single page in a new window. I have to do this for each page of the book. Having 200-300 windows open at a time for a typical book is somewhat bothersome. I uploaded a typical screenshot (http://gear.dmfclan.com/ebook.jpg). If I choose the Open option there, I will get the cover in a Foxit window. To get the next page, I have to go back to the browser, choose the next page from the navigation area on the left, and repeat the Open process. I could choose to "do this automatically" but I would still have hundreds of seperate windows open...
If you g00g search for "nlReader.dll" you will get more about the same site, but unfortunately, access is limited to the actual books without your local library's and your registration. The public domain books seem to all show without any problem.
I guess my question is: is there a way to get the whole book to open, or does it have to be opened page by page?
