View Full Version : Browser Integration Broken

I just did a fresh install of Windows XP SP-2, and Foxit doesn't work as it used to in IE6. (I do not use FireFox, so that's not an issue.)

It used to work perfectly. I could click a PDF link, and the PDF would instantly open in the browser. If I wanted to save the PDF to disk, I could right-click and save it for later viewing.

Now, all I get is a save dialog. :1_04:

Has something changed in later versions of Foxit? Has browser integration been disabled?

Can anyone supply a registry patch or a registry setting that I can use to restore Foxits' browser integration?

Many thanks,,,

Bob. A.

Just tried this solution, and it works for me:

Note: I own an italian localized version of Windows,
so i hope what i'm writing can make some sense for you... :-))

- Go to Control Panel > Folder Options > Type of files (or Files Type, i don't know...)

- Select "pdf" file type > Advanced

- Uncheck the "Confirm open file after download" option

- OK > Close

Hope this helps :1_30:

Worked great! That was too easy! Thanks!

I've been there a dozen times before. There was no "Advanced" button in the dialog. This time, I clicked "Restore", and it made the "Advanced" button appear. I unchecked the "confirm open", and voila!

Thanks again,,,
