The previous build crashes when printing a pdf document with typewriter.
This build fixed the bug.

Please download it from
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/foxitreader/foxitreader.zip
or
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/foxitreader/foxitreader_setup.exe.

Is there only one bugfix in this release?

I mirrored these two files on my own homepage, to relieve the servers of foxit :)

Just curious,

what is being used for the basis of the build number now? Obviously it's not month/date any more or is it now month's'/date (14th month from first v1.3/date)?

not really - they left out the first time chinese string pages
and i saw "annotations" - they are going to equal the free version
and the pro.

erm - confirm "pro" - the free version now display messages when used the typewriter
text viewer is not build in yet although it is in the menu (hidden)

aarg crap CRAP - the free version mixes up the toolmenus from the pro and vice versa

additional - its intern commented as "version 2.0.0.1413"

We plan to roll out version 2.0 in the near future.
And those month+day build numbers will be reserved for this 2.0 version.
Therefore, we keep increasing the build number for the version 1.3 by adding 1200 on top of it.

Is it possible to use Chinese fonts (or other fonts) in typewriter in the future build ?
It really is a big problem for those non-English users :-(

Hallo,

will there be in one of the next builds a utility to mark / highlight sentences or paragraphs?

Is there a plan in place to fix the slow print issue I'm seeing? Simply printing a three-page document, with no graphics except for a small company logo, takes about five minutes for Foxit to process the info and send it to the printer. The last two builds I've downloaded, which are 1.3 revisions, do this, but my older one (I can't recall the version) printed fairly fast.

It don't use the printer settings which I have set as standard !!!

I am kinda disappointed to see that after so many new builds, the slow printing issue still hasn't been fixed. The spooling size during prints is huge, about 10 times as the actual file size!

you are right zeroandone. I hope the new version 2.0 will fix these problems....

There is some other behaviour I dont like in this latest release:
The "Save" function saves a downloaded pdf (usually in temp then) to the temp, which is nonsens. It should ask for a name and place first. The old behaviour (no "Save", only "Save As") was much better/more logical for a reader. Also the click on the diskette symbol should launch "Save As" and not "Save".

I know I'm off-topic here - but I just need to comment on the reader:

+ Very nice and fast - mops the floor with Adobe.
- Missing "zoom box" :-(
- Inferior printing. No auto-rotate and the scaling malfunctions when manually rotating :-(

A "send to" in the file menu would be nice (for sending to Adobe when in need of zooming/printing). I'll surely be back on the Fox when the two issues are fixed in a couple of versions :-D

Cheers,
Anders

Is there any way to control the mouse wheel function?
It now zooms the page, I would -MUCH- prefer to scroll.

Those who are interested might write me an email (arthur@foxitsoftware.com), and I will send them our internal build for testing.
Once some people use that build and don't find any big problems with it, will you be releasing it here, in this thread for others to test (instead of everyone emailing you for a copy)? Or will it only be released once 2.0 comes out?
