Hi - Just moved over to Foxit under a recommendation from the Adobe Acrobat forum to do so!

However still have the same problem. When downloading a .pdf from my server I am asked to save it to hard disk before opening it.

I used to just get it in another browser window and could then print straight away. Been through all the acrobat suggestions - but no luck. I have got foxit now as default .pdf reader.

Any ideas please - Badger

Thanks Ditto,
Searched on all your postings, various ones on new foxit versions, but could not find anything on this "download by default" problem instead of "display in new browser window" that I want.

Could you please post a link to a relevant thread - thanks for responding.

Try this:
Control Panel>>Folder Options>>File Types>>PDF>>Advanced>>[Uncheck]Confirm open after download

Does it behave how you want it to now?

ditto: This question is regarding the Foxit Reader (free) version. Until the features are merged, if that ever happens, please stop asking people to search a forum regarding a different version. If you want to respond in the Foxit Reader forum, please do so, but don't ask others to go searching in the Foxit Reader Pro forum.
