Hi,

I can only see blank pages on protected pdf files, can you please tell me how to fix it? :1_22:

I can see all the protected files using adobe acrobat reader.

Thanks

How are they protected? Passwort? Or is it not allowed to modify them?

I ask, because I have PDF files which aren't allowed to be changed - and they display fine in foxitreader.

Hi,

They are password protected. Once I enter the password to open the pdf all I see are blank pages with Foxit. When I repeat the process with Acrobat everything is fine.

Thanks

Okay, I created a testcase.

I created a pdf file with openoffice. Password is "test".

But I don't have any trouble with that file, everything shows fine.

Just tried your test.pdf and it worked fine. It looks like files created with acrobat are causing these problems.

I can confirm this.
Just found on the web a pdf password protected, for test.

http://www.kranio.com/eli/pdf/beginning_ebook.zip

The pwd is "kranio" (without quotes)

All pages are blank. Don't know if it was made by Acrobat,
cause i can't read nothing in Properties (may be chinese?)

"Test.pdf" posted above works fine for me too.

I too am seeing blank pages on password protected .pdf files
Here's en example
http://efl4u.com/FREE/IWillToo.pdf

password is
ILoveEFL4U

Checked out the same file on my wifes computer.
She is using a 2.0 beta build 0609 and the page displays fine.

I'm using the 2.0 final - so something has changed between these files.

Anybody know where I can download an older build until this gets remedied?

Ok, I have tried the other free pdf reader with tabs and that reads password protected files okay. There must be a bug in Foxit Reader.

Traced back each release of Foxit.
This is the last release that displayed the files without a problem.
2.0 Build 1312 (http://filehippo.com/download/f483e6de988f3e80d1d717fa32be59b6/download/)

farcus,

Spot on this version reads the password protects files with no problemss.:1_13:

So this proves there is a bug in the latest build!

I have bought the paid version and the paid version of PDF Creator. I have had the same problem with foxit that you are having, having another problem with their creator, have sent in support request, it has been 2 weeks and total silence, they have not even acknowledged that I have sent in the request for help. I have posted here and same problem, no answers. Looks like they may have given up on this software. I am not a happy camper!!!:1_03:

I used this for my office work and have been forced to go to another product after paying for this one and now I have had to pay for the other. If their was a way I could get a refund I would do it! In other words it is "goodbye foxit" you took me once, but not a 2nd time.

Hey, Foxit Reader developers / owners: If what Normandie describes is accurate, this is a bad way to treat paying customers. It looks like it has already discouraged bmann13...

Jessamine,

I have done all of the above and still have not heard from anyone in Tech. I have lost an account that I was working on because I was counting on Foxit products and could not get help. I will not use them again.

Sorry,
Normandie

I will like to use Foxit Reader, but I cannot. I get my books from the electronic library of the University of Phoenix and I can read them fine in Acrobat 9. But I cannot see a thing on Foxit Reader. I put my username and password and it contacts the site of protection and says that it was successful. But my screen is unsuccessful!!!

The company that protects this files is ProtectedPDF and their phone number is 1-877-832-4867 and their e-mail for support is: <technicalsupport@apollogrp.edu>

Please guide me to the right solution !!!

Thanks !!!
