In my copy of Foxit Reader Version 2.0, Build 1516, operating under Windows 98SE I am unable to enter text in some PDF documents which have highlighted (apparently fillable) fields. Could someone confirm that the document is defective and that I'm not doing something wrong? Here is a link to the problem State of Oregon tax form:
http://www.oregon.gov/DOR/PERTAX/docs/2006Forms/101-040-06fill.pdf

I am opening the document directly in Foxit rather than through a browser. I have tried a few other PDF documents on that site without success. Other PDF fillable documents such as the US Federal tax forms work okay for me. If the document is somehow defective, is there a workaround or something I can communicate to the Webmaster which would tell them what modifications to make to repair it? If the problem is in Foxit Reader I'll be happy to open a support ticket.

It does NOT work properly for me with Foxit Reader. Lines 44, 45, and 46 DO seem fillable, but most wouldn't work. I don't have Adobe Reader, so I don't know if it would work with that.

Hi Charles,
Bascially, this file is supposed to be fillable. We will do further testing on it and get back to you ASAP. Thank you for the file.

Thanks for pointing that out, Boz. Now I realize that I can simply mouse over the highlighted fields and watch for the hand icon to change to the vertical line cursor. When it does I'm on a real fillable field.

Should I file a support ticket for this problem?

No, you don't need to.
