I'm having a strange problem. If I right click on any .pdf I see two instances of "Foxit Reader, Best Reader For Everyday Use!".
I searched and deleted all entries of Foxit in registry, then when I want to open a new file and point it to Foxit.exe for the 1st time I automatically see two instances of Foxit in the Open With menu.
I tried switching to the newest version and I still have this issue.

This is not a real problem...
It could be just the behaviour of windows with programs, I think.
Perhaps you have two foxitreader.exe in different folders on your harddisk, e.g. one under programs and another under "temp"

i think is because when you use a new build it put a new "open with" icon in the windows menu together with the icon the previous Foxit Reader build cretaed the first time

To get rid of this problem, you can get rid of out-dated versions of Foxit Reader, and start the last version again. Or you can uninstall Foxit Reader and install the latest version again.

Thank you all for your replies/suggestions.
@Andreasm82: yes I have two instances of Foxit on my system. Renaming one of them, cleaning up the registry and then using Open With... worked. I only see it once now, even after renaming the 2nd instance back to FoxitReader.exe.
It might be a Windows "flaw" but I have a bunch of programs that are on my system twice (as backup) and have never seen this before.
@Tommy: this was the first build. It was a cleanly formated Windows XP SP2 box.
@arthur: I was/am unawe of any uninstall routine, it's just an executable I copy anywhere I wish and run without installation.

@arthur
the problem is that i have the same bug always using the no.install versions (zipped) of Foxit Reader.
this means i cannot uninstall something that has been never installed

I got the same problem using Vista Business x64 and Foxit Reader v2.3.
None of the things listed above helped, is there any other way to fix this?
(I would like to use v2.2 parallel, but renamed it including the extension but there are still two entries (both start v2.3))
Thank You!
