The problem is not with Foxit. Whoever set up the excel file put page breaks everywhere. You can see this if you go View->Page Break Preview. Whoever created the excel file set every cell to be on it's own page, that's why there are 282 pages on the excel file.

In Excel 2002, the file appears as just one page but in Excel 2007, the file is 282 pages. The person that created the Excel file will need to adjust it.

is there anyways i can convert this successfully with foxit? if the creator is a virtual printer, then it should print the same information on a paper to a PDF document

You'll need to make sure that the file is set up as just one page before you use the Foxit printer driver. Once the excel file is one page, Foxit Creator will convert it to one page in PDF format.

if i do view->page break review, i see only one page, not 282 pages. i took a screenshot here.

I'm guessing you are using a different version of excel than me. I will check on my other computer and try to create the PDF from the original excel file.

if i see 282 page breaks, then if i print it, i should print 282 pages. however, i have no problem printing this file with a normal printer. btw, the excel i have here is 2002, and the one i have at home is xp

The excel I have is 2007. I believe this is a similar problem: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=4872&highlight=excel

Do you have problems with other files or just this specific one?

all my files are like this one, because this schedule is the general format. I have been using adobe's free trial, because i don't need to convert that many of them. however, I want to switch to foxit.

This is the most confusing file I have ever seen.

I open up the file and click on page layout. It shows the file on 4 pages. Then I click Page Break Preview and every cell has it's page. When I go back to Page Layout, it shows 282 pages now. I haven't done anything to it.

Here's another weird thing. I open up the file. I click on Page Setup and the radio button is already on for Fit To 1 page by 1 page. I double click it just to make sure. Then if I do it a second time it gives me an error message saying that Margins do not fit page size.

Try this: open the excel file. Go to the page setup and click on the button to make it fit 1 page by 1 page. Make sure it says 1 page by 1 page and then try to create the PDF. I have tried many things and cannot get the excel file on 1 page. Must be something wrong with my version of Excel.
