View Full Version : Change default browser when clicking a link?

How do I change the default browser when clicking on a link within Foxit Reader 2.2? Someone else asked this question before but no one answered. Whenever I click on a link within a pdf document, Internet Explorer opens; I can't find anywhere to tell Foxit to use Firefox (or some other browser) instead. Please note I'm talking about using a standalone instance of Foxit Reader, not an instance opened within a browser.
Help please!

I have attached Firefox plugin
Please unpack the zip file and copy the two .dll files into "Drive:\Program
Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins". And do the following:
Go to the "Tools -> Options" menu > select the "Content" tab > click the
Manage button > select pdf file types > click the "Change Action…" button >
change the selection from "Use this Plugin" to "Open them with the default
application", and choose Foxit Reader.
Please have a try.

With Firefox open, pdf links open in Foxit just fine. But if Foxit is open as a standalone program and I click a link within an already opened pdf, Internet Explorer opens the link when I want Firefox to open it.

That's what happens anytime I try to download an attachment here, and it's been like that for a long long time.

I have no trouble with downloading that file, perhaps I have some other rights?

Hello kuntau,
Foxit Reader 2.3 allows links within a document to open in a deafult browser. Please be sure you have set the default broswer properly.
Any questions, please let me know.

I am looking for a developer to automate pdf printing from browsers (aspx pages with javascript). SDK some what works in IE -activex control support but is there any way to do it in firefox. More spesifically I want to read pdf from database , send stream to the cleint browser and either open and print or just print it and know when I can print next document. Any thougts whether this is going to be achieved?
