Foxit Reader finds "Y" when searching for "<" character

Have a text PDF, opened in Foxit Reader and wanted to do a search for the "less-than" character ("<"). Ctrl-F and entered < in the search box.

Foxit Reader finds the "<" character but it also stops at every capital Y in the document as well.

Bug?
