MOSS 2007 - IFilter for Windows 2003 x64 not working

Folks,

We have a MOSS 2007 farm installed (3 servers: 1 WFE with Query, App Server for Index, etc, Database Server. We are running Windows 2003 SP2 x64 on all servers.

I've installed the IFilter (64 bit version) using the detailed instructions from the PDF manual on the FoxIT site. I've uploaded an Adobe document, crawled the site (full) and the Index server is not finding the Adobe document.

Has anyone had the issue and can offer some suggestions on what else can be done to make this work.

Got this working. We had to stop and restart search and everything worked. If this is indeed part of the process it should be documented by FOXIT as such.

net stop osearch
net start osearch
net stop spsearch
net start spsearch

Thank you for your information.
The IFilter Team is looking into this, we are doing more test about this, to check in which case we need to do those step.

If we confirm this is indeed part of the process we will modify our user manual.
