I was pleased to see that v. 2.3 restored the -n option to open a file to a given page. This did not work in v. 2.2. This feature is very useful to me.

When I call Foxit from the command line with a file name, it always shows the bookmark tab. Is there a way to tell it to not show the bookmark tab when opening?

When ever I open this new version of Foxit, it always shows the bookmark pane, even if I closed it before the last exit.
It's a minor niggle, but to me it's also very annoying! (To the point where I have registered on here just to moan about that one thing..)
There doesn't seem to be an option to turn off that behaviour?

I'd like to thank you a lot, FOXIT, for all you've done and all you're doing now, and above all for your free version providing all those functions very useful for me (student) which aren't even available with the so heavy adobe (why is it so heavy since there is nothing in it??:1_14:), we say in france "adaube", daube meaning awful, useless, garbage lol
so thank you Foxit, i think we usually don't thank enough people who worth it so thank you so much:1_30:
ps: sorry for my pretty bad english...

Hi !
Tiny typos / grammar to be fixed in a future release :
1/ The View / Autoscroll menu item shortcut is displayed as "[]Ctrl+Shift+H" (the [] means a small blank square). I'm using WinXP SP2 French, but I force Foxit Reader to run in English.
2/ IMHO, the Window / New Window menu item should be named New Tab ! At least, it opens a new tab for me, and not a new window (BTW is there an option to open a new window ?).
Those bugs aside, it is still my favorite pdf reader !

The Autoscroll menu item shortcut is displayed as "Ctrl+Shift+H" in my PC (WinXp Enlish). We will confirm this issue.

Like the brother up, I register here just to express my feelings and complain about the bookmark thing that insist in reapearing.
Plz this is a MAJOR flaw, put a checkbox to shutdown that bookmark pane forever.
And far as I tested, is fast like ever. But plz, don't put things that increase the weight of foxit. Foxit is famous because of this: Is fast, and this is because it dont have that **** we dont use, like some other appz... Or put an option to disable things. Or like an extra download...

Hi again
BTW, I found another minor issue with my dual monitor setup. If the main window is *not* on the primary screen, F11 does display full screen on the wrong monitor (= on the primary screen).

Hi,
Excellent software! Especially like improved singleton and MDI support.
But..
The document view mode jumps to a "Single page" view whenever I enter full screen mode irrespective of whether I'm viewing using continuous, facing-pages, or continous-facing pages.
This is bad, especially for wide-screen monitors. v2.2 did not do this afaik.
The workaround is to configure full-screen mode to display a status bar.
You can then click on your preffered display option on the status bar.
I would like to see full screen mode respect the documents' current view state.
I think that it would also be wise to enable a context menu (right-click) when in full screen mode so that the user can do other stuff without having to exit full screen mode.
Cheers

Possibly improvements for future:
1) Closing tabs by click with middle mouse button on tab.
2) Switching tabs by holding right mouse button and scrolling
Thanks ;)

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the boards. Pleasure to me all of you.
I've been using Foxit for a while now and have been very pleased with the product.
Today I upgraded to ver.2.3 from 2.2 and was greatly disappointed with how slow scrolling through the same document is in 2.3 compared to 2.2! - 100% proccessor usage! Wow!
I've fallen back to 2.2. Unless someone can offer some advice on how to eliminate this problem, I suppose 2.2 will be used despite the sweet new features in 2.3.
See ya!

Hello Thorne,
The best way we can help you is if you send an e-mail to support@foxitsoftware.com with the files that use 100% processor usage. Thanks.

I have the same problem as thorne, with pretty much every pdf. Also, everything is displayed in reverse order.. when I press home, foxit jumps to the bottom page, which is page no. 1 of the document, when I scroll up, the document increases the page number up to the last page (which I can jump to by pressing home). Quite irritating, that. I'm on Windows XP home edition, SP2
ps. I think that the first time I started foxit 2.3, everything was alright, but I'm not sure.
edit: I installed 2.2 again - scrolling is now fast as usual, but the pages are still flipped upside down :( that's very weird (clarification: the content of each page is rendered correctly, just their order is reversed)

Hello thkoe002,
For the reverse order:
Click View, and make sure Reverse View is not checked.

It's easy to re-open the file that you just closed if you select to restore last view settings in Preference, cos u can just click File > [filename] to open it. I dont think the feature u mentioned is quite neccessary:1_05:
