I bought Foxit PDF Editor yesterday and today went ahead and installed the PDF Reader. There seems to be a way in Reader to edit the current document in Editor but only in the "demo" version. I already have the full-blown Editor installed. How can get Reader to let me edit in Editor?

You can't edit any PDF's in the Reader. In the reader you can click Edit>Modify Content and it will open that PDF in the Editor. From the editor, you can modify the PDF document.

What I'm saying is that doesn't work. When I click Edit>Modify Content it tells me I need to download a certain component. When I click Yes to do this it says that the add-on is an EVALUATION copy of PDF Editor and that if you already have PDF Editor installed NOT to install the add-on.

I paid for PDF Editor so why doesn't it come up when I click Edit>Modify Content?

Hello Mnapier,

Normally, If the Editor has been installed, and it will come cup when you click Edit>Modify Content in the Reader program. If this doesn't happen, please be sure:

The Editor has been rightly installed on you pc(BTW, have you launched Editor program by double-clicking icon? )

I have the same problem. I bought Reader first then Editor. Each will open independently when their icons are double-clicked. If I have a document opened with Reader and click on "Modify Content" all I get is the same "Missing Component Found" that Mnapier reports.
How do I get Reader to recognise Editor?

For other users who may experience this problem.
In Reader when I click "Modify Content", instead of Editor coming up with the same pdf, I'd get the "Missing Component Found Window" popping-up and requesting to download the evaluation version of Editor.
I believe that there is a bug in the .msi download file, I used this file to install my copy of Editor.
I downloaded the .zip copy of Editor, installed it over my .msi version and the "Modify Content" link now works the way it should. :1_13:

That's because the .msi version of edtior doesn't write relating info into register, obviously reader will get nothing when you click on "Modify Content".
